Finance for Non Finance Managers  
Tue 16th Sept

This one day programme provides business personnel who do not have a financial background with the skills and related knowledge to understand financial information. Upon completion, participants will understand the financial status of their organisations and the mechanisms for recording financial transactions, plans and budgets. They will also have an insight into preparing cash flow projections and VAT processes.

Manual Handling Instructor

This programme will provide delegates with an understanding of how to carry out manual handling risk assessment. Participants will gain the skills to train, demonstrate and assess trainees in manuel handling by implementing the principles of biomechanics and ergonomics.

Facilitation Skills

This programme provides knowledge of the key principles for effectively facilitating any team. It is aimed at managers who have some experience working with groups but have engaged in little or no training in the skills of a successful facilitator. The course will help participants encourage and empower individuals and group to reach decisions, set goals or learn a new skill.

People Management

Managing Under Pressure

This development programme will enable participants to manage their work lives better by improving their personal productivity and the manner in which they interact at work.  Participants will learn to recognise and respond to early warning signs of overload and burnout and to discover ways to use these warning signs as signals to change work or leisure circumstances to reduce stressors. This course includes one full day of interactive group work plus two private half day consultations on a one to one basis.

Time Management

This one-day programme enables participants to increase productivity, learn how to prioritise work and work more efficiently and effectively.  It covers time management from both a strategic and operational point f view. Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to prioritise tasks, analyse their use of time and develop an interruption elimination system.

People Management Advanced

This two-day course is for managers with 2+ years experience who wish to improve their effectiveness in motivating personnel, and displaying leadership skills in competitive and challenging times. On completion of this programme the participants will increase their confidence in managing a variety of people and situations and improving personal performance.

Meeting Skills

This one day programme is aimed at managers and supervisors who are involved in regular meetings and need to assess their structures and format and design best practice meetings that will engage the participants and also achieve the desired meeting agenda purpose.

Lunch is included on all full-day courses. Course times are 9.30am to 5.00pm.
